Job Responsibilities: Ensure product complies to export quality standards: Extensive understanding of the portfolio of fruit quality Knowledge of PPECB export standards Implement, measure, and maintain quality standards of both PPECB and various exporters Ethepon Testing Monitoring and communicating all fruit quality standards including but not limited to: Incoming quality Internal quality Final quality De-greening – Overview of verification process incoming batches. Conducting quality inspections and commutate results to farm management: Incoming cull Line inspection Packhouse culling Final carton inspection Packhouse Walkabouts – Food Safety, Quality Processes and Compliance Dwell Times – Off-Loading, Crates and Final Pallets Labelling standards of cartons and pallets Review Pack Plan vs Production Half Pallet Management QC report monitoring: Written reports and feedback to value chain including farm, packhouse and exporter where necessary Compile quality reports: receive, analyse and summarise quality control information Record keeping of relevant documentation Capturing information, communicate and follow up on outcomes. Carton inspection: Quality of cartons Carton delivery sign-off Ensure Palletising standards are kept Carton waste record sign-off Transport loading of packed pallets checks Requirements: Experience: Minimum of two years experience Pack house quality experience. Languages: English & Afrikaans Minimum Grade 12 Valid RSA drivers license Own Transport Computer literate MS Word, Excel, Email Strong communication skills Self-driven and able to work in a team Attention to detail and able to follow up and give feedback Liaise with the responsible person.
