– Planned preventative maintenance of the feed mill. Downtime to be minimized at all times.
– Ensuring, at all times, plant and product quality.
– Follow the planned maintenance schedule and record the work on the maintenance record sheets.
– Continuously observe the plant to identify potential problem areas, bottle necks and possible areas where contamination can occur; then to discuss the possible corrective and preventative measures with the Production & Distribution Coordinator
– Ensure that the tools and equipment is kept is a good state of repair.
– When modifications to plant is required, or when repairs are outsourced, this needs to be supported to accurate specs and drawings.
– Control the cost of maintenance and consumables to within the specified budget and following the purchasing procedures.
– Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the engineering store
