Pretoria: Barista

Description: Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and food items to company standards. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Provide friendly, professional customer service at all times. Manage POS transactions, including handling cash and card payments. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including equipment cleaning. Restock supplies such as milk, pastries, beans, and packaging materials. Follow all hygiene, food safety, and health regulations. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Upsell menu items and promote specials when appropriate. Requirements: Previous Barista or café experience preferred (salary adjusted based on experience). Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, and coffee equipment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure during busy periods. Reliable, punctual, and able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic maths and till-handling ability. Personal Attributes Friendly, energetic, and well-presented.
