About the Role
Network Finance, an established manufacturing operation based in Silverton, is seeking a Procurement Officer to support production through effective sourcing, supplier management, and procurement execution. This role is suited to a hands-on procurement professional who understands the urgency, precision, and complexity of a production-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end procurement activities supporting manufacturing and production schedules
- Source raw materials, technical components, machined parts, consumables, and services
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with MRP/production requirements
- Liaise closely with production, engineering, stores, and planning teams
- Manage and maintain supplier relationships, including negotiations on price, lead time, and terms
- Monitor supplier performance relating to delivery, quality, and cost
- Expedite critical items to prevent production delays
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and quality standards
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ procurement/buying experience within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience procuring production-critical or technical components
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Syspro, Oracle, Sage or similar)
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field
