Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design process from concept through to detailed design and implementation
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation in accordance with relevant standards and regulations
- Conduct load calculations, single-line diagrams, schematics, and system layouts
- Oversee project deliverables, ensuring compliance with time, budget, and quality expectations
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders including contractors and consultants
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and drafters
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, standards, and emerging technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design within [industry – e.g., commercial buildings, industrial plants, renewable energy, etc.]
- Proficient in electrical design tools and software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux, or similar
- In-depth knowledge of local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, BS7671)
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Professional registration (e.g., PrEng, PE, CEng, or equivalent) is highly desirable
