We arelooking for a dynamic DevOps Engineer with intermediate-level expertise in automating workflows and optimizing system performance. Proficient in CI/CD pipeline development, cloud-based solutions, and infrastructure-as-code practices to enhance scalability and reliability. What you’ll do: Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure Build Pipelines Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers Working on ways to automate and improve development, testing and release processes Support testing analysts and examining code written by others and analysing results Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats Identifying technical problems and developing software updates fixes or integrating new technologies to solve Working with software developers and Operations specialists to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions Has a full understanding of the SDLC Your expertise: Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role Deploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues Develop scripts to automate visualization Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance Experience with Source control like Bitbucket , Git or GitHub Working knowledge of databases and SQL Experience with Test Automation Tools like Cyprus, Selenium and JUnit Excellent Experience with Docker, Kubernetes Excellent Experience with Jenkins Problem-solving attitude Collaborative team spirit Qualifications required: Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field (Advantagous) Other information applicable to the opportunity: Permanent Position Location: Pretoria – Onsite Travel: May be required (Ethopia, 2-3 times annually)
