The position of Operations Manager: Financial Services plays a key role in the companys mission to add value to clients’ businesses and contribute to the countrys agricultural economy. Position Location: Pretoria Salary: R50,000 R80,000 (Depending on experience) Available positions: 1 Responsibilities: Implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives, increase profitability, and optimize the financial services division. Develop, implement, and review financial policies and structures to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency while embedding sound corporate governance. Stay updated on market and industry issues, regulations, and policies, and maintain relationships with regulators and stakeholders in the agricultural sector. Maximize business development opportunities by leveraging networks. Act as chairperson and participant in credit committee meetings. Manage the credit manager team. Uphold the company’s mission, vision, and values. Identify and manage credit risks. Prepare and present performance reports for the credit department to management. Support the management of information systems to improve customer service delivery. Collaborate with the Legal and Collections Division and manage high-risk clients to maintain bad debt levels within company guidelines. Continuously monitor and manage the performance of the debtors book. Engage with internal and external role players in the agricultural sector. Review and oversee correspondence with attorneys, clients, and internal legal teams. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the National Credit Act (NCA) and ensure compliance with regulatory legislation while providing proactive advice to stakeholders. Monitor productivity and efficiency to improve the credit process and ensure timely handling of applications. Assess credit applications and manage credit risks in line with the NCA and credit policy. Update and formulate credit policies in response to changing environments and legislation. Motivate, coach, and challenge the credit team to deliver high-quality results and develop their skills. Expand existing and new debtors within the companys budget and risk profile by introducing new product ranges to clients. Develop new financing products. Prepare and deliver presentations to investors and external stakeholders. Support the General Manager with ad hoc tasks. Skills, Qualifications, and General Requirements: Degree: A Bachelors degree is mandatory, with additional qualifications being advantageous. Management Experience: 35 years in management. Data Analysis: 24 years of relevant experience. Agricultural Finance Experience: Prior experience is required. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing work environments and processes. Ownership: High level of responsibility and initiative. Computer Skills: Proficient in the MS Office Suite, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Statistical Data: Experience presenting statistical data to management teams. Leadership: Proven leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills. Ontwikkeling, implementering en hersiening van finansiële beleide en strukture om koste-effektiwiteit en operasionele doeltreffendheid te verseker, terwyl goeie korporatiewe bestuur gevestig word. Bly op hoogte van mark- en industrie-kwessies, regulasies en beleide, en handhaaf verhoudings met reguleerders en belanghebbendes binne die landbousektor. Maksimalisering van besigheidsontwikkelingsgeleenthede deur netwerke te benut. Voorsitter en deelnemer aan kredietkomitee-vergaderings. Bestuur van die kredietbestuurderspan. Handhawing van die maatskappy se missie, visie en waardes. Kredietrisiko-identifikasie en -bestuur. Voorbereiding van verslae oor die kredietafdeling se prestasie en aanbied daarvan aan bestuur. Ondersteuning in die bestuur van inligtingstelsels om kliëntedienslewering te bevorder. Samewerking met die Regs- en Invorderingsafdeling en bestuur van hoë-risiko-kliënte om die wanbetalingskoers binne riglyne te hou. Deurlopende monitering en bestuur van die debiteureboek se prestasie. Skakeling met interne en eksterne rolspelers in die landbousektor. Hersiening en toesig oor korrespondensie met prokureurs, kliënte en interne regspanne. Omvattende kennis van die Nasionale Kredietwet en voldoening aan regulatoriese wetgewing, met voortdurende advies aan relevante belanghebbendes. Monitering van produktiwiteit en doeltreffendheid om kredietprosesse te verbeter en aansoeke vinnig te hanteer. Evaluering van kredietaansoeke en kredietrisikobestuur ooreenkomstig die Nasionale Kredietwet en kredietbeleid. Bywerking en formulering van die kredietbeleid in lyn met veranderde omgewings en wetgewing. Motivering, afrigting en uitdagings aan die kredietspan om kwaliteit werk af te lewer en hul vaardighede te ontwikkel. Uitbreiding van bestaande en nuwe debiteure binne die maatskappy se begroting en risiko-profiel deur nuwe produkreekse aan kliënte bekend te stel. Ontwikkeling van nuwe finansieringsprodukte. Voorbereiding en aanbieding van aanbiedings aan beleggers en eksterne belanghebbendes. Ondersteuning van die Algemene Bestuurder met ad hoc take. Vaardighede, Kwalifikasies en Algemene Vereistes: Graad: n Baccalaureusgraad is verpligtend, terwyl verdere studies as n voordeel beskou sal word. Bestuursvaardigheid: 35 jaar ervaring in bestuur. Data-analise: 24 jaar relevante ervaring. Ervaring in Landboufinansiering: Vorige ervaring is n vereiste. Aanpasbaarheid: Vaardigheid om by veranderende werksomgewings en prosesse aan te pas.
