Job Summary

Key Responsibilities Program Development Design and implement comprehensive security awareness and training programs tailored to the university`s needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and create relevant content for various audiences, including faculty, staff, and students. Develop instructional materials, presentations, and online resources to facilitate effective learning experiences. Training Delivery Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and seminars on cybersecurity topics, including phishing awareness, password security, data protection, and incident reporting. Utilize various training methods (e.g., e-learning, in-person sessions, webinars) to engage participants and enhance learning outcomes. Provide individual support and guidance to staff and students on cybersecurity best practices. Awareness Campaigns Plan and execute ongoing security awareness campaigns to promote a security-conscious culture within the university. Utilize multiple communication channels (e.g., newsletters, social media, posters) to disseminate security information and updates. Organize events, such as Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities, to engage the university community. Evaluation and Improvement Assess the effectiveness of security training and awareness programs through surveys, feedback, and incident reports. Continuously improve training content and delivery methods based on participant feedback and emerging cybersecurity trends. Prepare reports on training effectiveness, participation rates, and overall security awareness levels within the university. Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with the IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment of training programs with technical policies and procedures. Act as a point of contact for security-related inquiries and provide guidance on best practices to university personnel. Liaise with external organizations and agencies to stay updated on security awareness trends and initiatives. Policy Awareness Promote awareness of university cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices among staff and students. Ensure that all training programs align with legal and regulatory requirements related to data protection and information security. Assist in developing and revising security policies and procedures based on feedback and training outcomes. Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Education, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity training, information security, or a related role. Familiarity with instructional design principles and training methodologies. Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and best practices. Skills and Competencies Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts in a clear and engaging manner. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously. Proficient in using e-learning platforms and tools for developing training materials. Creative and proactive in developing engaging content for diverse audiences. Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Additional Requirements Experience with security awareness and training programs in a higher education environment is preferred. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similar) are a plus. Willingness to travel within the university for training sessions and events as required. Contract Details 1-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
