About the Role
The Senior Manager: Finance is a critical leadership role that ensures the financial management, reporting, and strategic planning functions of Talent Evolution Ltd are aligned with business objectives. This position provides strategic and operational financial leadership to support sustainable growth, sound decision-making, and effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organisation’s financial strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support informed decision-making and organisational sustainability.
- Oversee accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local reporting standards.
- Manage financial controls, cash flow, and working capital to ensure liquidity.
- Present consolidated financial reports to senior leadership, governance committees, and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure payroll processes for employees, contractors, and third parties are accurately executed and compliant with legislation.
- Oversee payroll reporting and ensure system updates are implemented as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation including Income Tax, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage SARS submissions, CIPC filings, and external audit processes.
- Uphold governance principles and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team aligned with employment equity and transformation objectives.
- Promote accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with labour legislation in HR-related processes.
- Oversee internal audit functions and implement effective risk management frameworks.
- Evaluate and strengthen financial policies, systems, and controls.
- Manage insurance and investment portfolios where applicable.
- Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, banks, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with departmental leaders to support operational initiatives and strategic objectives.
- Identify donor funding opportunities, sponsorships, and alternative revenue streams to enhance organisational sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or BCom degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Honours degree or CA(SA) designation preferred.
