About the Role
We are seeking a warm, organised, and proactive Education Operations Assistant to join our team at our Sharonlea branch. This is a frontline, support-focused role that plays a vital part in the smooth day-to-day running of our autism centre. As a key operational and administrative support role within an educational environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to parents, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet parents, caregivers, and transport drivers during daily drop-off and pick-up
- Act as a first point of contact and liaison for parents
- Provide support with termly and annual reports
- Assist with Rose Motor setup and coordination
- Step into classrooms to relieve teachers when required (e.g. sick leave)
- Support the teaching team with day-to-day operational needs
- Carry out general education-related administrative duties
- Help ensure the smooth implementation of the curriculum within the autism centre
- Maintain a professional, calm, and welcoming frontline presence at all times
Requirements
- Friendly, energetic, and approachable personality
- Comfortable in a frontline role dealing with parents and staff daily
- Highly organised and able to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Confident, professional, and well-spoken in English
- A team player with a strong understanding of school operations
Qualifications
- Grade R qualification (minimum)
- At least 5 years experience working in a school or preschool environment
- Strong understanding of educational environments and routines
- Experience working alongside teaching teams
