Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate vertical lathes to machine components according to technical drawings and specifications. Inspect machine operations and workpieces to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Adjust machine settings, tool changes, and feed rates as needed to ensure accuracy and precision. Monitor and maintain machine performance, including troubleshooting minor issues and performing routine maintenance. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Record production data, such as machine settings, part counts, and timesheets. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Vertical Lathe Operator or similar role in a machining environment. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding machining symbols. Knowledge of machine setup, operations, and troubleshooting. Ability to use measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
