Requirements:

• Recognized Trade Certificate in Boilermaking.
• Completed Logbook/Training Modules (proof required).
• Valid Exit Medical Certificate from a recognized medical facility.
• Proven experience in boilermaking within a mining or industrial environment.
• Sound knowledge of welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
• Understanding of safety protocols, structural integrity, and maintenance standards.
• Physically fit and able to work underground or on surface sites.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform fabrication, assembly, and repair of steel structures, chutes, pipes, tanks, and frames.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on fixed and mobile plant equipment as required.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to fabricate or repair components to exact specifications.
• Carry out cutting, welding, grinding, and fitting tasks using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain all boilermaking tools, materials, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and site-specific safety procedures.
• Report defects, hazards, or incidents promptly to the relevant supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure high-quality and timely repairs.
