About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Millwright to join our team at PRO Personnel Employment Agency in Rustenburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on process plant equipment, ensuring optimal plant availability. With 3-5 years of experience on a process/mineral processing plant, the ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a proven track record of identifying root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on process plant equipment
- Execute preventative and breakdown maintenance to ensure optimal plant availability
- Maintain and repair motors, MCCs, panels, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and associated plant equipment
- Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
- Support plant shutdowns, inspections, and commissioning activities
- Ensure strict compliance with MHSA, site safety standards, and maintenance procedures
- Accurately complete maintenance reports and job cards
Requirements
- Qualified Millwright (Trade Tested – Red Seal)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience on a process/mineral processing plant (tailings, chrome, base metals or similar advantageous)
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability
- Proven experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, mills, screens, and rotating equipment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Valid driver’s licence
- Medically fit for site-based work
- Willingness to work full-time on site in Rustenburg
