About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client, a leading mining company based in North West, is seeking a skilled Planned Maintenance Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planned maintenance and a passion for ensuring the efficient operation of equipment in underground mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse tasks and take necessary action to mitigate identified risks.
- Conduct issue-based risk assessments and implement appropriate measures.
- Adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Initiate and follow emergency protocols when required.
- Identify and prevent fraudulent activities.
- Ensure equipment costs are accurately recorded against functional locations.
- Maintain SAP master data in line with financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance against design specifications and budgeted operational costs.
- Facilitate failure analysis processes for cross-functional teams.
- Analyse maintenance history to identify recurring failure patterns.
- Implement preventive measures to support cost-effective maintenance programs.
- Provide structured recommendations to engineers.
Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Management Maintenance Certificate
- Trade Test Certificate.
- Supervisory Certificate
- 5 years experience as a Planned Maintenance Officer within an underground mining environment
