About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client, a leading mining company based in North West, is seeking a skilled Planned Maintenance Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planned maintenance and a passion for ensuring the efficient operation of equipment in underground mining environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse tasks and take necessary action to mitigate identified risks.
  • Conduct issue-based risk assessments and implement appropriate measures.
  • Adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Initiate and follow emergency protocols when required.
  • Identify and prevent fraudulent activities.
  • Ensure equipment costs are accurately recorded against functional locations.
  • Maintain SAP master data in line with financial policies and procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance against design specifications and budgeted operational costs.
  • Facilitate failure analysis processes for cross-functional teams.
  • Analyse maintenance history to identify recurring failure patterns.
  • Implement preventive measures to support cost-effective maintenance programs.
  • Provide structured recommendations to engineers.

Requirements

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Management Maintenance Certificate
  • Trade Test Certificate.
  • Supervisory Certificate
  • 5 years experience as a Planned Maintenance Officer within an underground mining environment
