About the Role

Pro-Match Recruitment is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for assisting with debtors collection, creditors and accounts payable management, reconciliations, statutory submissions and compliance, and general administration. If you have strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a sound understanding of accounting principles and practices, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with following up on outstanding client accounts and collections.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients regarding account queries and payments.
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
  • Reconcile monthly supplier accounts.
  • Scan, file, and maintain supplier documentation.
  • Prepare payment packs for approval.
  • Capture and process payments on the banking platform.
  • Process daily bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Process credit card transactions and complete reconciliations accurately.
  • Assist with statutory and tax submissions, including VAT, EMP201, Income Tax, Dividends Withholding Tax, CIPC Annual Returns, and Beneficial Ownership submissions.
  • Provide ad hoc financial and administrative support as required by management.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • BCom Accounting degree advantageous but not essential.
  • Senior Certificate (Matric).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Experience working with Xero Accounting software will be advantageous.
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
