About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team in Rustenburg. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service and driving sales growth. With a strong background in retail management and experience working in fast-paced environments, we are looking for someone who is motivated, results-driven, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock levels and ordering processes to ensure efficient replenishment of products.
- Run daily stock depletion reports and balance off with stock receiving to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including daily cash ups and minimization of cash losses.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer complaints and comments.
- Manage employee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management to ensure a high-performing team.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership level.
- Prior knowledge and experience in managing inventory/stock, buying, staff, products merchandising, costs, and profitability of the store.
- Knowledge and understanding of stock management systems like ERP, Meat matrix, etc.
- Basic Understanding of retail consumer behaviour and purchasing trends.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Non-Negotiable)
- Diploma/Degree in Retail or Business or related qualification will be advantageous
