Sandton: Afrikaans Teacher (Middle School)

A passionate and experienced Junior School Teacher is required to teach Afrikaans. The role requires a proven track record of teaching excellence, experience with the IEB or CAPS curriculum, and a commitment to creating a supportive yet challenging learning environment for students. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: Degree and PGCE or B.Education ( specialised degree if teaching into a specialist subject) SACE certification and police clearance 2-5 years experience teaching the IEB curriculum at Junior school level 2 years specialist subject teaching ( Afrikaans ) Computer literacy and the ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching/learning Key Performance Areas: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons following IEB curriculum and educational standards Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback and support Develop and implement lesson plans that adhere to the IEB guidelines and objectives Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians about academic performance and areas for improvement Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required Contribute to the school’s culture of excellence, respect, and mutual support
