Our well-known Logistics Supply Chain client based in Sandton currently holds a vacancy for a qualified Diesel Technician.Job Description:To ensure that vehicles are serviced and maintained according to the schedule and inspection check lists.Strong knowledge of heavy-duty trucks: Scania / Mercedes / UD / VolvoEmergency repairs on vehicles / equipment assess and prioritize emergency breakdowns.Own Tools are essential to their company standardTechnical UnderstandingAttention to DetailDependabilityThoroughnessVerbal CommunicationDocumentation SkillsInventory ControlJob KnowledgeWelding and cutting material if required, using arc welding, flame cutting or grinder equipment.Requirements:Own Transport.Grade 12.Be willing to work overtime, standby and be available for call outs as and when required.Must have good people skillsComputer literacy would be an added advantageMust be able to work unsupervised.Must have good knowledge on basic auto electrical and repairs.Must have experience on Tail lifts (Hydraulics)Working overtime and doing standby is compulsory.Must take responsibility for workmanship.Must comply to health and safety guidelinesMust take responsibility for workmanship.Must be able to relocate if need.Must have RED seal trade test.Must have sober behavior.Must be clean and presentable on himself.
