Job Summary
Candidate
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of previous tour consulting experience required
- Should have a passion for delivering service excellence
- Must have a good understanding of South Africa, Southern, and East Africa
- Must have sales process and methodology skills
- Should have an understanding of travel industry channels and destinations
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and experiential creativity
- Should have relevant business understanding to create strategies and make commercial decisions
- Must have excellent computer skills, including ESS, MS Office and WETU
- Previous experience with TourPlan is highly advantageous
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Should have strong time management, teamwork, and conflict resolution abilities
Key Outputs:
- Creative planning and designing of itineraries
- Managing the reservations process for bookings in a manner which ensures guest budget is achieved
- Handling of bookings from quote to finalising, invoicing and travel documents
- Consistent and clear communication with agents, sales teams, preferred supplier partners and colleagues
- Emergency duty will be on a rotational basis
- Working hours early and late shift on a weekly rotational basis
- Calm and professional manner of servicing agents and guests
- Proactive selling of our products and services ensuring the best possible safari for the guests
