About the Role
The Human Capital Intern role is a 24-month opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the administration of human capital functions within our organisation. This internship will provide valuable experience in recruitment, employee onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment administration, including vacancy activations and interview scheduling
- Conduct references, psychometric assessments, and MIE checks for new hires
- Manage employee documentation and transfer paperwork
- Ensure smooth employee induction processes
- Adhere to offboarding checklists and communicate with internal stakeholders on the process
- Record keeping and updating of employee electronic files
- Assist with employment equity initiatives, including collecting EEA1 forms and collating EE barriers
- Support performance management by assisting HCBP and HCO with scheduling annual trainings
- Coordinate employee wellness initiatives and provide updates on the approved plan
- Provide admin support for HC projects as per the HC annual calendar
Requirements
- A degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or Organisational Psychology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
