Sandton: Programme Manager – Foreign Payments

In order to be considered the following is required: Degree in a relevant field (NQF 7 or above) 8 years’ experience in programme/project management Extensive knowledge of foreign payments (SWIFT, ISO 20022, AML/CTF, exchange control) Preferably registered with a professional body (e.g., PMSA, PMI) Banking industry exposure and experience in multinational corporate settings Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships across diverse contexts Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines and complex programmes Expertise in risk and compliance frameworks Familiarity with cross-border payment systems and regulatory requirements Proficiency in programme governance methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile) Ability to influence and collaborate at executive level Responsibilities: Develop and implement change strategies aligned with project and business objectives Deploy integrated risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks across programmes Manage and coach teams to achieve performance targets and human capital objectives Demonstrate leadership through values-driven behaviours and visible commitment Compile actionable reports and dashboards to guide informed business decisions Apply strategic thinking to delivery plans in partnership with leadership Oversee multiple related projects ensuring alignment with organisational goals Build strong stakeholder relationships to enable thought leadership and innovation Enable delivery of customer service solutions aligned to brand and service standards Prepare portfolio-level reports tracking progress and guiding decision-making Own budgeting, forecasting and variance reporting; ensure financial discipline Monitor project progress, resolve issues promptly and maintain client service continuity Design integrated programme plans, identify resources, manage risks and ensure successful operationalisation Commit to continuous professional development as a life-long learner If you would like to email your CV directly – please send it to
