Job Title Groups & Incentives Relief Consultant Establishment Type Luxury Tour Operator / Destination Management Company Location Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa Salary Package Market-related Live-out, office-based position Role Overview A leading luxury tour operator is seeking an experienced Groups & Incentives Relief Consultant to provide operational and reservations support to the Groups department during peak periods, staff leave, and high booking volumes. This role is critical in ensuring business continuity, maintaining service standards, and supporting consultants with re-quotes, bookings, operations, and agent-related travel arrangements. Key Responsibilities Take over full workloads of consultants during periods of leave or absence Manage re-quotes, ongoing proposals, booking updates, and operational changes Support hosted agent and educational trips in collaboration with the Sales team Assist with system testing, implementation, and procedural improvements Follow up on provisional bookings and dormant leads Support consultants with booking load during peak periods Assist with small group journeys and group operations Support sourcing of new suppliers and products for group travel Travel with groups when required to assist with operational delivery Minimum Requirements (Essential) Minimum 3 to 5 years’ inbound tour consulting experience Strong understanding of the tourism industry and destination management Good product knowledge of Southern and East Africa In-depth understanding of booking terms, conditions, and supplier processes Excellent organisational and time management skills High attention to detail and strong administrative ability Confident decision-making skills under pressure Strong written and verbal English communication skills Advantageous In-depth knowledge of Tourplan and Wetu Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Experience supporting group or incentive travel departments Basic understanding of crisis and risk management procedures TO APPLY Apply with your current CV (including a recent head & shoulders photograph) , along with your reference contacts , ASAP.
