About the Role
Our client, a high-quality equipment supplier for engineering, welding, and mining companies in South Africa, is seeking an External Sales Representative to drive business growth and expand their customer base. As the face of the company, you will be responsible for identifying new sales prospects, managing existing clients, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell products by establishing contact with potential customers
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers through support, information, and guidance
- Recommend solutions to meet customers’ needs
- Visit and quote customers to secure business opportunities
- Follow up on quotations and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
- Maintain quality service by enforcing company standards
- Invoice customers and order stock to complete customer back orders as needed
- Deliver products when required
- Complete customer planning and visits
- Conduct cold calls to expand the customer base
- Arrange and conduct demos on welding machines
- Attend to all job-related administration tasks
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required by management
Requirements
- Minimum Matric qualification
- 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the welding industry
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to new environments
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Code 8 drivers license
- Working with customers and maintaining customer relations is a must
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification will be advantageous (if applicable)
