F&B VACANCY ALERT Position : Assistant Food & Beverage Manager Location : Clanwilliam area, Western Cape (Remote Wilderness Lodge) Type of Property : 5-Star Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat Summary of Key Requirements : We are looking for a guest-orientated, career-focused Assistant Food & Beverage Manager with strong leadership capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a flair for guest interaction and hospitality excellence. This role is ideal for a hands-on, dynamic professional with solid experience in luxury lodge or boutique hotel F&B operations. Key Responsibilities: Support the F&B Manager in the day-to-day operation across outlets Maintain strong on-the-floor presence during peak meal periods, assisting with guest relations Oversee and manage stock control, monthly stock counts, and discrepancy resolution Coordinate operating equipment store, including procurement and issuing Finalise duty rosters and ensure effective labour control aligned to business levels Assist with planning and execution of F&B special events and promotional activities Ensure all guest interactions are handled with professionalism and service recovery excellence Manage operating costs in line with budgetary targets Drive staff training and development across the department ✅ Minimum Requirements: Diploma in Hotel or Food & Beverage Management Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in a 5-star hospitality environment, including at least 2 years in a management role Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook POS knowledge – Micros or similar (Micros Symphony advantageous) Stock management system knowledge – FnBShop advantageous Exposure to Opera PMS advantageous Excellent command of English (written & verbal) Well-presented and confident communicator Solid understanding of restaurant operations and financials Experience in service recovery and guest conflict resolution Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and shift hours Advantageous Qualifications: WSET Level 1 or 2 (Wine & Food Pairing Training) Experience in training delivery and SOP implementation Background in F&B promotions and event planning Package on Offer: Salary : Market-related, negotiable based on experience Work Cycle : 24 days on / 8 days off Accommodation : Free shared self-catering on-site single accommodation Medical : 50% Discovery Medical Aid contribution or Medical Consultations Provident Fund : 7.5% employer contribution Additional Benefits : Free WiFi & Laundry TO APPLY: Submit your CV, contactable references, and a recent head & shoulders photograph ASAP!
