We are seeking a skilled and experienced Blockman to join our dynamic butchery team in East London, Balfour Park Job Description: – The Blockman is responsible for cutting and preparing meat products for sale to customers. – The Blockman must be skilled in using knives and meat cutting equipment to portion, trim, and grind various cuts of meat. – They must have a good understanding of different meat cuts and how to properly prepare them based on customer preferences. – The Blockman must adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of the meat products they are handling. – They must keep track of inventory, rotate stock, and maintain a clean and organized work area. – The Blockman may also be responsible for assisting customers with their meat selection, providing recommendations, and answering questions about different cuts of meat.
