South Africa: Bookkeeper / Financial Administrator

Job Title: Bookkeeper Location: Gordon’s Bay Job Type: 2-3 hours per day Salary: Market related hourly rate Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, payroll processing and serving as main point of contact between company, auditors and other professionals. Responsibilities (including but not limited to): – Record day-to-day financial transactions – Maintain accurate financial records – Process accounts payable and receivable – Generate financial statements and reports in coordination with company auditors – Assist with budgeting and forecasting – Assist with year-end audits and other financial administration as needed – Full payroll function – Ensure statutory compliance Requirements: – Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role – Solid understanding of accounting principles – Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel or Xero preferred) – Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills – Strong communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to work independently and as part of a team – Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred Requirements: – Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role – Solid understanding of accounting principles – Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel or Xero preferred) – Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills – Strong communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to work independently and as part of a team – Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
