About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Works Site Manager to lead our roads and services team in a township development project. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in civil township services, with a focus on road construction and services installation. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site delivery, ensuring productivity and quality, and driving the success of our project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site delivery to ensure productivity and quality
  • Coordinate with engineers and surveyors to interpret civil drawings and specifications
  • Run layerworks, compaction control, concrete road construction, kerbs/channels, stormwater interfaces, sewer, water reticulation, sleeves/ducts, manholes/structures, bedding/backfill, testing/commissioning basics, bulk earthworks, cut/fill, retaining interfaces, levels, tolerances, compaction, and drainage falls
  • Drive site safety culture, enforcing OHS requirements, and maintaining basic HSE files/records
  • Manage subcontractors and productivity control
  • Conduct daily planning and short-interval control (labour/plant/materials)
  • Provide programme & progress reporting (weekly look-ahead, daily diaries)

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in civil township services, roads (concrete roads an advantage)
  • Competent in reading civil drawings/specifications
  • Strong planning and people management skills
  • Ability to drive productivity and quality
  • Drivers licence
  • Willingness to work on site daily

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification (Civil Engineering / Construction Management / foreman training) is beneficial; experience is usually the differentiator
