Job Summary
Requirements:
Line management experience in manufacturing environment. People development and coaching skills. Team facilitation skills. Planning and organizing skills. Mechanical aptitude (cutting machine / spreading table maintenance or textile experience an advantage). Understanding / knowledge of different types of cloth will be beneficial. Task Description: Ensure optimum use of operators and equipment to ensure appropriate prioritization of work. Ensure adequate staffing at the start of each day. Establish work methods to meet deadlines and coordinate work with other sections. Solve work-related problems and recommend measures to increase productivity and improve quality. Manage, motivate and continuous training of staff. Ensure compliance with occupational safety standards. Audit and evaluate work methods continually to improve productivity. Supervise hourly scores and daily targets set. Ensure orders are full and recuts submitted timeously.
