About the Role
The PRO Personnel Employment Agency is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join our team on a major international mining project. As the primary interface between the owner’s technical requirements and the broader project team, including EPC/EPCM contractors, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of this complex engineering project. With a strong background in mining sector experience and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, we are looking for an exceptional leader to join our PMC engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the PMC engineering team, including QA/QC and environmental functions
- Act as the primary interface between the owner’s technical requirements and the broader project team, including EPC/EPCM contractors
- Plan, control, and evaluate engineering activities and performance
- Review and evaluate contractor deliverables in line with contractual requirements
- Resolve technical, design, and integration issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide technical assurance in line with the agreed contracting strategy
- Develop and implement engineering standards, specifications, and procedures
- Provide engineering input into project contracting strategy, commissioning strategy, and handover strategy
Requirements
- 10–15 years of total experience in engineering & design within EPC/EPCM project environments
- Minimum 7 years in an Engineering Manager / Engineering Lead role
- At least 7 years managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including:
- Metallurgical / Chemical / Process engineers
- Mechanical engineers
- Electrical engineers
- Control & Instrumentation engineers
- Civil & Structural engineers
- Piping engineers (advantageous)
- Mining engineers (advantageous)
- Strong preference for zinc, copper, or gold mining projects
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in one of the following:
- Metallurgical / Process (preferred)
- Mechanical (preferred)
- Chemical
- Electrical
- Civil
