About the Role
ProStaffSelect are seeking a highly skilled and creative Namibian Head Chef to join our team at the launch of our new 5* luxury lodge in the eastern Zambezi region of Namibia. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and creating exquisite fine cuisine that exceeds our guests’ expectations. If you are a motivated and experienced chef with a passion for innovative cuisine, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen operations and lead a team of chefs and cooks
- Develop and implement menus that showcase local flavors and international techniques
- Ensure high standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene in all food preparation and service
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Work closely with the lodge’s management to create unique dining experiences for our guests
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 – 8 years’ experience working within 5 star lodges / top awarded establishments
- Proven culinary creativity and innovation with excitement for fine cuisine
- Strong decision making, organisation & leadership skills
- Proven background in staff management and ability to recruit, train and motivate staff to ensure a satisfactory experience for all guests
