Field Guide Position at 5-Star Safari Lodge in Nambiti, Ladysmith
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Guide to join our team at a luxury game lodge in the Nambiti area. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting guided safaris, driving, and bush walks, ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of guests throughout their safari experience.
Responsibilities:
Conduct guided safaris, driving, and bush walks
Host guests with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing informative and engaging insights into the wildlife and reserve
Facilitate guest transfers to and from the safari destination as required
Create compelling content for social media platforms through still and video photography
Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of the lodge and reserve, as well as safari vehicles
Requirements:
Grade 12 certificate
At least 2 years of guiding experience at a 5-star lodge on a Big 5 reserve
Minimum FGASA Level 2 qualification
DEAT registered
CATHSSETA registered
First Aid Level 1 certification
Back Up/Trails Guide qualification (advantageous)
Rifle competency
Valid Driver’s License with PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well in a team
