About the Role
Our client in the logistics industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is seeking an achievement-oriented Field Sales Executive with experience in freight forwarding who can deliver on both target and customer satisfaction measures. They are looking for a motivated individual to join their team and contribute to the growth of their business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong existing customer relations and loyalty by ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Respond to customer enquiries/complaints.
- Manage a defined portfolio of potential customers and win them for a lasting business relationship.
- Seek and prospect for BC targets to win new customers.
- Plan and manage medium to large-sized Business Customers.
- Build rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customers’ businesses and the market.
- Recommend solutions based on customer needs by using industry knowledge.
- Is responsible for closing business by connecting a customer’s needs to a solution by offering value to the client’s supply chain.
- Uses networks within the various Sales channels to collaborate on customers, marketing strategies and offers a whole supply chain of services to service customer needs.
- Collects relevant customer information and prepares documents for customer implementation to ensure proper operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the logistics or related industries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to focus on outcomes.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- A good working knowledge of airfreight, ocean freight, road freight, customs clearing, imports, exports, and international trade.
