A well-established financial services group operating across Africa is seeking a General Manager to lead its microfinance operations in Lesotho. This is a senior leadership role suited to a results-driven, hands-on manager with strong operational and people management experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall day-to-day management of the business operations

• Drive loan book growth, sales performance, and collections

• Oversee deal processing, compliance, audits, and turnaround times

• Lead, manage, and develop staff performance and KPIs

• Ensure strong governance, systems control, and operational efficiency

• Support the CEO and act in their absence when required

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a citizen of Lesotho

• Bachelor of Commerce or relevant tertiary qualification (essential)

• 510 years relevant experience in financial services

• Microfinance experience (advantageous)

• Strong knowledge of Lesotho lending and microfinance legislation

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

• Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving ability

• Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel
