About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking a highly experienced and skilled IT professional to lead our IT strategy, implement technology infrastructure, and ensure the security of our data. As the Head of IT, you will be responsible for developing and executing our IT strategy in alignment with our business objectives and long-term goals. You will also lead and inspire our IT team to ensure successful execution of IT projects and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives and long-term goals
- Lead and inspire the IT team to ensure successful execution of IT projects and operational effectiveness
- Provide expert advice to the executive team on emerging technology trends and opportunities to improve organizational performance
- Evaluate and recommend industry-specific software and technologies that enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness
- Ensure that IT services and solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices in the industry
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology computer science, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, ITIL) are advantageous
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in IT leadership, including at least 5 years in a managerial role within a complex, multi-departmental organization
- Proven experience managing IT teams and IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with IT strategy development and implementation, experience with advanced cybersecurity frameworks, disaster recovery, incidents response, and IT service management
- Experience leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems implementation especially Microsoft Dynamics
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in IT Management or related fields
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
