About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Division Head: Business Development to lead and oversee business development efforts for our client’s division. The ideal candidate will develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and profitability, build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, and identify new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Drive substantial sales and market growth within the petrochemical sector, focusing on specialised bulk transport solutions.
- Key Account Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met with tailored solutions.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring favourable terms while maintaining profitability.
- Market Penetration: Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate new markets and expand our footprint in existing ones.
- Customer Engagement: Strategically engage with customers to understand their evolving needs and offer innovative solutions that add value.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client solutions and alignment with company objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: 4 year Degree / NQF level 7
- Experience in a similar role: Up to 8 years experience
- Experience: Proven track record in business development, sales, and marketing, with a focus on the petrochemical industry and bulk transport.
- African Market Expertise: Extensive experience working in multiple African countries with a deep understanding of local dynamics and regulations.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute growth strategies, utilising data-driven insights and market trends.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favourable outcomes in contract discussions.
- Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Innovative Mindset: Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving challenges, with a focus on continuous improvement.
