About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hostess to join our team at a prestigious Wine Estate in Stellenbosch/Brackenfell. As a Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring seamless dining experiences, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests at assigned tables & ensure each guest has received a menu
- Know all items on the menu & the basic ingredients and method of preparation of each
- Ensure tables are set with linens, silverware & glasses
- Take accurate food & drinks order, using the POS system and deliver within the specified time limits
- Ensure that all orders are received timeously
- Clears all dirty cutlery &crockery from the table once guests have finished using them
- Offers desserts & coffee to guests
- Bill the guest correctly
- Restaurant area, fixtures & fittings are clean & hygienic
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Preferably 3 years of previous hostess experience
- Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system
- Basic math skills
- Excellent interpersonal- & communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation and active listener
- Attentive and patience for customers
- Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
- Must be well-presented
- Enthusiastic personality
