About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Reservations Manager to join our team in Cape Town, specializing in crafting personalized travel experiences for individual and group travelers. With a strong background in luxury travel planning and a passion for creating meaningful and memorable experiences, you will lead our team of Destination Specialists in overseeing the seamless coordination of all reservations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of the reservation process, including responding to inquiries, preparing quotes, and confirming bookings.
  • Developing and customizing travel packages for inbound tourists, including accommodation, transportation, and activities.
  • Building relationships with local suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing pricing and availability.
  • Ensuring smooth coordination of all travel arrangements, from initial inquiry to the completion of the trip.
  • Providing excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or complaints.
  • Implementing quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout the reservation process.
  • Achieving sales targets and contributing to revenue generation.
  • Utilizing reservation systems and other relevant technologies.
  • Supervising and training a team of reservation staff.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 A formal Travel & Tourism qualification
  • At least 4 – 5 years management or supervisory experience in inbound tour operating
  • Cape Town Based
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Proficiency in reservation systems and other relevant technologies.
  • Experience in the travel industry, in inbound tourism.
  • Proven ability to manage bookings from quote to completion.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • In-depth geographical, logistical and product knowledge of South, Southern and East Africa.
