About the Role

We are seeking a curious, detail-oriented Data Analyst who is passionate about transforming raw data into meaningful insights. This role is central to empowering teams across sales, credit, operations, and product with accurate, actionable information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract & explore data: Work with databases and data warehouses to uncover trends and operational insights that matter.
  • Build reports & dashboards: Develop intuitive dashboards and visualizations that translate complex information into clear, accessible performance indicators for stakeholders.
  • Support data-driven decisions: Collaborate closely with business teams, understand their analytical needs, and convert them into impactful data solutions that guide strategy and execution.
  • Own data quality: Play a key role in ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL skills; experience with a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets. Knowledge of Python or R is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, clear communication, a curious mindset, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to convey findings to non-technical audiences and thrive in environments that require iterative problem-solving and navigating ambiguity.
  • 2+ years in data analysis or a related field.

Salary & Benefits

Cost to company of up to R500k per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
