About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Lodge Manager for a luxury lodge located in the Kruger National Park. This exceptional opportunity will enable a seasoned leader to manage a high-end operation, inspire a professional team, and deliver outstanding five-star guest experiences in one of South Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall lodge operations and report directly to senior management
  • Deliver outstanding, personalised guest experiences at all times
  • Manage, motivate, and develop lodge staff, ensuring high morale and ongoing training
  • Support HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
  • Maintain high standards across housekeeping, maintenance, and gardens
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and general financial management
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between departments
  • Manage daily concierge and reception operations
  • Maintain the quality, care, and upkeep of all lodge equipment and guest-facing products
  • Plan and implement operational and strategic initiatives aligned with long-term goals

Requirements

  • Extensive lodge management experience within a luxury or five-star lodge environment
  • Proven leadership and staff management skills
  • Strong operational, administrative, and financial management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for exceptional guest service and staff development
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and conservation principles
  • Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and solution-focused under pressure

Qualifications

  • South African citizenship or a valid work visa

Salary & Benefits

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience. Live-in accommodation (as per lodge policy)
