About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our client’s luxury beachfront lodge in Mozambique. This live-in position offers the ideal opportunity for a proactive and technically skilled professional to thrive in a high-end hospitality environment, managing both routine operations and larger projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all lodge maintenance including plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, carpentry, solar, hot water, water treatment, sewerage, and generator operations
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and equipment upkeep
- Lead maintenance projects and supervise teams
- Control maintenance budgets, stock, tools, and supplier/contractor relationships
- Implement sustainability initiatives and maintain high sustainability standards
- Assist with HR duties, staff performance management, quality control, and administrative tasks
- Communicate effectively across departments and attend operational meetings
Requirements
- Certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Valid driver’s licence and PRDP licence
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, flexible, and able to work under pressure
- Attention to detail, methodical and creative approach to tasks
