About the Role
Telebest is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Sales Agent to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients, and driving sales growth through effective sales techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the booking process, addressing any concerns or enquiries promptly and professionally
- Employ sales techniques to secure and process invoices for guests in a timely manner
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular reports to management
- Quote and setup new group requests in the system (BEE)
- Respond to incoming quotes and emails within a 24-hour turnaround time
- Manage group bookings from A-Z, including but not limited to chasing payments, balancing and completing legal requirements
- Update groups with changes and additions as needed
- Manage Charter and Theme cruises
- Book and manage International Group Bookings
- Manage special projects that may arise
- Perform other duties as assigned on an ad-hoc basis
- Manage Admin duties daily, including:
- Quotes / Confirmations
- Payment Chasing
- Room lists
- DPP Forms
- Contracts
- Emails
Requirements
- Strong customer service background
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in the travel industry or cruise sector
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Familiarity with cruise products, destinations, and industry trends
- Knowledge of different types of cruise ships, cabin categories, and onboard amenities is advantageous
