Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and updates all relevant spare parts records in the stock control system
- Plans and manages parts and accessory stock levels for 4 brands of vehicles to meet customer requirements and maximise sales volumes and margins
- Forecasts supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability
- Keeps inventory store organized, clean, labelled, neatly stacked and orderly
- Coordinates and optimize the spare parts procurement and import activities to avoid stock shortage/overage
- Optimizes the stock level and increases the stock turnover ratio while reducing the amount of stock obsolescence
- Produces regular spare parts movement reports
- Tracks quotation requests and orders with suppliers and shippers to ensure that quotations are received within acceptable time frames and that parts are dispatched and received with minimum delays
- Receives and store parts
- Performs regular stock checks and reports any issues to the supervisor
- Assists with parts disposal and stock-take exercises whenever is required
- Assists with spare parts counter sales whenever is required
Job requirements and qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in Spare Parts Stock Controlling, Operations, and Inventory Management-dealership experience a plus
- Familiar with electronic parts catalogues
- Must be able to easily learn on the job and obtain necessary knowledge of how the dealership operates their spare parts/automotive components etc
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong background with figures (Mathematics)
- Excellent computer skills, M.S Outlook and Excel is a must
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Very good command of written and spoken English
Remuneration Package:
1. SALARY – The Company will pay you a basic (gross) salary of SCR 22,000 – 25,000 per month depending on experience of the candidate. All contributions for Personal Income Tax and any other charges that may apply shall be deducted as per Seychelles Government regulations.
2. DURATION – Your contract of employment shall be for a period of twenty-four (24) months commencing from the date of receipt of your work permit and will be renewable thereafter upon agreement by both parties and subject to availability of a renewed work permit.
3. AIR TICKETS – The Company will provide you with a one-way air ticket i.e. from South Africa to Seychelles upon attainment of your Work Permit and confirmation of employment, and a return air ticket to South Africa upon completion of your contract. Should you decide to terminate the contract prematurely, you will be responsible for your own return ticket.
4. RENTAL ACCOMODATION – The Company will provide a suitable fully-furnished 1-bedroom rental accommodation. A Non-Monetary Benefit Tax on the value of the accommodation provided to you shall be payable by the Company.
5. TRANSPORT – You shall be entitled to use a company pool vehicle to take home after normal business hours, weekends and public holidays so that you can respond to emergencies. You shall be able to use the vehicle for necessary shopping etc. but otherwise it shall be used strictly for official use and shall be subject to the Company’s vehicle policy.
6. PHONE SIM CARD – The Company will provide you with a SIM card under the Company’s package to facilitate business communication. You will be responsible to settle any charges above the limit offered in this package plus all personal international calls with the Finance Department.
7. WORKING HOURS – You shall be expected to work and average of 46 hours per week in order to ensure you meet your targets and deadlines and to ensure customer satisfaction. Normal working hours are from 8.00am – 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays and 8.30 am to 12 noon on Saturdays.
8. END OF YEAR BONUS – Up to 1 month salary
9. LEAVE- Your leave entitlement will be in accordance with the Employment Act of Seychelles (1.75 working days leave for each month worked). In addition, there are about 10 public holidays per year.
10. HEALTH – You will be eligible to receive medical care and in addition, the Company will provide you with a personal accident and medical insurance cover.
