• Identify, report, and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.).
• Have an in-depth understanding of:
• Product and its quality criteria.
• Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding, and injection blow moulding).
• In-depth knowledge of all equipment, detailed for assigned equipment.
• Mould installation.
• Technical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric).

 
Fault analysis and problem-solving.

• Independently perform fault analysis and problem-solving (teamwork as needed).
• Product quality and processing issues.
• Mould issues.
• Machine malfunction (mechanic/hydraulic/pneumatic/electric).
• Recognize and report problems to the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager for equipment other than the assigned equipment.

Maintenance

• Independently develop maintenance plans and checklists (teamwork as needed).
• Ensure maintenance is done at required intervals according to the plans.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager in the ordering process (e.g. prepare documents and follow up on orders).

Plan for the year ahead and assist the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager with work on budget for maintenance.
Health & Safety

• Ensure and enforce that all aspects within the area of responsibility conform to health and safety requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the area of responsibility (e.g. ensure cleanliness of assigned machines and areas).
• Work safely and report on safety hazards or issues.
• Report any accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Quality

• Apply the company’s quality principles and standards.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Food Safety System Certification (FSSC).
• Apply the site’s food safety principles and standards.
• Report any food safety hazards or issues to your Supervisor/Manager.
• Comply with and maintain all GMPs in relation to the company’s FSMS (Food Safety Management System).

Self-Development, Growth, and Training

• Realistically assess your strengths and development areas and undertake actions to address any weaknesses hindering your objectives’ fulfilment.
• Keep abreast of innovation and technical improvements for self-development and the company’s development.
• Maintain contact with key suppliers and discuss innovations with them.
• Read operator manuals of machines.
• Read literature related to your position (e.g. on the internet, Google, etc.).
