About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join their team as a Payroll Clerk in Strand, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing and maintaining accurate payroll records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees on a timely basis
- Ensure accuracy of all payroll data, including hours worked, taxes, and deductions
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or electronic deposits to employees
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues
- Assist with payroll reporting and analysis
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information
- Work closely with HR department to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records
Requirements
- Advanced working knowledge of Sage Pastel VIP Payroll (non-negotiable)
- Knowledge and experience working with ERS Biometric clocking system will be advantageous.
- Grade 12
- Minimum three years payroll experience
- Solid knowledge of payroll principles, processes and procedures
- Detailed knowledge of statutory requirements i.e. PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA
- Good understanding of and working knowledge of all the appropriate Acts (LRA, BCEA, OSHA, COID, EEA)
- Computer literate with strong MS Office skills
- Own transport
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
