Job Summary
Qualifications, Skills & Experience required:
- Bachelor`s Degree in Management, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of managerial experience, preferably in Automotive, Trucking Aftersales, Commodity Trading, Logistics or Equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). SAP experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of African and local retail markets.
- In-depth knowledge of sales processes within a retail environment.
- Full command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong leadership with excellent decision-making and strategic planning abilities.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong people management and team-building capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflict effectively.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- High levels of energy, drive, and performance orientation.
Job Description
Commercial & Business Growth:
- Implement the company’s strategy in Zambia to drive revenue and profitability.
- Develop and execute business development plans that optimize existing markets and expand into new local markets.
- Take overall responsibility for identifying and maximising business opportunities.
- Build and maintain key customer relationships to ensure sustained commercial success.
Operational & Team Leadership:
- Oversee all staff and operations in the region to achieve company profit goals.
- Ensure the recruitment and retention of skilled employees to support business objectives.
- Lead and mentor the regional team, fostering teamwork and high performance.
- Drive team effectiveness, efficiency, and cohesion across various locations.
Financial & Cost Management:
- Take responsibility for revenue generation and profitability in the region.
- Monitor and control regional fixed and variable monthly costs.
- Support the Finance department in managing accounts and finances according to company policies.
Supply Chain & Logistics:
- Ensure timely and cost-effective stock delivery and warehouse efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation of warehouse policies for proper stock management.
Sales & Customer Relations:
- Drive sales, aftersales, and warranty support for the region.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed growth targets.
- Conduct regular branch and customer visits to strengthen key relationships.
Governance & Compliance:
- Maintain corporate governance by reporting regularly to the Country General Manager.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and internal regulatory frameworks.
- Identify talent to ensure effective succession planning in key regional positions.
Strategic Implementation & Market Expansion:
- Develop and execute strategies to improve profitability and productivity.
- Identify new market opportunities and allocate resources effectively.
- Operate within the Zambian business environment with international travel as required.
