My client in the modular buildings industry is seeking a highly organized and hands-on Rentals Superintendent to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing the refurbishment of rental buildings within approved budget and cost parameters, ensuring all projects are completed on time and to the highest standard. The role also involves coordinating the delivery and collection of buildings to and from clients within target dates, as well as supervising the refurbishment team to maintain full compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Refurbishment, Delivery & Collection
Ensure that all rental buildings are refurbished within budget parameters and quality standards.
Plan and oversee the rentals refurbishment work, ensuring that a detailed refurbishment plan is prepared and circulated daily.
Coordinate and communicate refurb plans for any long-term projects, rebuilds, or special requirements as needed.
Ensure all buildings are handed over to the Fleet Controller on time and in the correct condition.
Execute the refurbishment plan while recording, monitoring, and reporting on operational efficiencies on a daily and monthly basis.
Oversee the timely delivery and collection of all units to and from customers.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the area of responsibility.
Take ownership of and manage the rebuilding program.
Plan, communicate, and execute the warranty plan within agreed timeframes and cost objectives.

Assets, Stock, and Stock Integrity
Ensure that the stores function is properly controlled and that stock levels are minimized while maintaining an uninterrupted supply of materials.
Ensure that outstanding orders are expedited and that any potential problems are proactively managed.
Manage and report on redundant stock, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Take responsibility for the stock integrity of all assets, including the rental fleet, air conditioners, and furniture, on the Accpac system.
Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly stock counts and compile accurate reports.
Ensure that the daily grading of all returned items is completed and that the ERP system is updated accordingly.

Administration
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Complete and submit all daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and on time.
Ensure that all staff members are fully trained and have signed off on all operating instructions.
Ensure compliance with all reasonable instructions and operational requirements.

Occupational Health & Safety
Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
Ensure compliance with all statutory health and safety regulations.
Ensure adherence to the organizations Health and Safety Code of Conduct.
Conduct regular inspections to confirm that materials are stacked, stored, and handled correctly and safely.
Record, control, and monitor the issuance and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensure that daily and monthly departmental vehicle, tool, and safety inspections are completed and signed off weekly and monthly.

Supervision of Subordinates
Ensure that all subordinates possess the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their duties efficiently and effectively.
Promote positive contributions to departmental performance through setting clear objectives, coaching, counselling, and ongoing performance monitoring.
Maintain discipline in accordance with the companys Code of Conduct.
Monitor and control timekeeping, attendance, and overtime to ensure optimal productivity and compliance.
