RESERVATIONIST/RECEPTIONIST: R10 000 R12 500 DOE URGENT APPOINTMENT Cedar Wood Recruitment is now recruiting for a RESERVATIONIST/RECEPTIONIST at a lodge near Addo in the Eastern Cape. Located just a short distance from the Addo Elephant Park, this lodge offers guests a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and wildlife of the area. Surrounded by lush vegetation and breathtaking landscapes, the lodge provides a tranquil and luxurious retreat for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. The ideal candidate will be friendly and well-organised and will be the first point of contact for guests, managing reservations, check-ins, and guest inquiries with professionalism and warmth. This position would suit someone already living near Addo. Requirements: Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience Relevant qualifications suited to the position Previous experience in hospitality, front office, or reservations Minimum 3 years experience in a 4 or 5-star lodge/hotel/resort environment Strong communication and customer service skills Computer literate with sound knowledge of MS Office (Xero accounting package, POS & reservation systems advantageous) Working knowledge of Odyssey preferred, or knowledge of Protel and Opera or similar Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends Able to work under pressure and to multitask efficiently Must have knowledge of all accommodation rates Own transport essential Valid RSA Drivers licence (not negotiable) Traceable references Spoken and written English Ability to work flexibly Key Performance Areas Manage reservations, cancellations, and guest inquiries via phone and email Manage bookings for the restaurant Manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently Provide information about accommodation, facilities, and local attractions Maintain accurate records and always ensure excellent guest service Assist with administrative and front-office duties as required Group welcoming from Safari drives Assist in Curio shop Personal/Professional Attributes Stable person Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Sober habits Well-developed people skills, diplomacy, tolerance, patience and care Proactive Energetic and driven Strong time-management skills and self-discipline Strong organiser and planner with high attention to detail Excellent personal presentation well groomed Reliable; responsible and calm under pressure Large capacity, multi-disciplined person, multi-tasker Adaptable and flexible Outgoing personality Positive attitude A hard worker not a clock watcher Confident and professional Guest-focused philosophy, living and driving the company brand and experience Team player with positive attitude; enthusiasm and emotional control Committed and loyal Remuneration and Package Further details of package and benefits will be discussed at the interview Permanent position Accommodation provided not on property (own transport is essential) Salary R10 000 R12 500 (negotiable depending on experience) Shift work 5-6 days a week including weekends and hours is from 07h30-16h30 The position is available immediately NB: Please regularly check email INBOX and SPAM folders for an interview invitation should your application be viewed favourably.
