RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an Engineers Representative for a 12-month Labour-Intensive Construction (LIC) bridge project in the Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will be based on-site and oversee the implementation of bridge works in accordance with LIC standards. This is a 12 month limited duration contract. Accommodation will be provided on site and travel expenses will be reimbursed. Responsibilities: Oversee daily site activities, ensuring quality assurance, accurate quantity tracking, and verification. Evaluate and approve method statements, work programmes, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) plans. Coordinate with stakeholders to address and resolve project issues. Prepare and manage progress reports, payment certificates, and project close-out documentation. Requirements: BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering from a recognised South African institution Professionally registered with ECSA as Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng At least 8 years of relevant post-graduate site experience In possession of Labour-Intensive Construction unit standard qualification (NQF Level 7, SAQA-accredited) Successfully executed at least two bridge construction projects in a lead/site representative capacity Benefits: Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications Contact RPO Recruitment for our next career opportunity.
