Are you a passionate and dynamic Food & Beverage professional looking to elevate your career in a stunning tropical location? A luxury boutique hotel in Zanzibar, Tanzania is seeking an experienced and qualified Restaurant Manager to lead its food and beverage operations and deliver a world-class dining experience to discerning international guests.
The property features 11 exclusive villas and a total of 11 rooms. 5 Sea front rooms, 6 Partial Sea View rooms, 3 garden rooms and 3 sea view first floor rooms.
Please note that this position is only open to East African ( Kenya , Tanzania Nationals) .
About the Role
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of all F&B outlets on the property. This includes full responsibility for service standards, team leadership, menu collaboration, guest satisfaction, cost control, and health and safety compliance.
This is an opportunity to lead a small yet sophisticated hospitality team in a high-end, coastal setting where attention to detail and personalised guest care are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all food and beverage operations: fine-dining restaurant, poolside snack bar, waterfront bar, and lounge.
- Deliver impeccable guest service from breakfast to evening cocktails.
- Supervise and train service teams, ensuring professional, consistent hospitality.
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and service alignment.
- Control costs, manage inventories, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Uphold hygiene, safety, and international service standards (HACCP compliance).
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests with poise and professionalism.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless overall guest experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Formal tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) in Hospitality Management essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Food & Beverage management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in full-service hotels, luxury resorts, or boutique hospitality environments preferred.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) additional languages are advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory software, and MS Office suite.
- Hands-on management style with a focus on quality, detail, and team development.
