About the Role
Safari JOBS Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our pre-opening team in a stunning wilderness area of Limpopo, under 3 hours from Pretoria. As a key member of our high-performing operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various lodge infrastructure, including guest areas, staff accommodation, utility systems, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair lodge infrastructure
- Supervise junior and mid-level maintenance staff
- Conduct preventative maintenance and respond to repair needs promptly
- Assist with bush clearing, road grading, firebreaks, and other seasonal outdoor tasks
- Operate and maintain tractors, TLB/Front-End Loaders, chainsaws, and other machinery as required
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in lodge maintenance or a related field
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic computer literacy/experience with internet, word, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license (Code 8 or higher)
- Experience in operating Tractors, TLB/Front-End Loaders, front-end loaders, chainsaws
- Familiarity with solar or off-grid systems
Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or plumbing)
- Experience in training others in tool and machinery use
